Rebecca Lucy Taylor, AKA Self Esteem, will play the first two nights of shows at London’s brand new music venue this summer.
British Airways ARC opens its doors to welcome Self Esteem on June 16 & 17, with several more names announcing gigs at the space in the following days, including McFly and Zac Brown Band.
McFly will play the day after the pair of Self Esteem gigs on June 18, with Zac Brown Band booked in to play a week later on June 25. Khalid has also been announced for later in the year, playing at the new venue on October 24.
On November 21, there will also be a celebration show for John Coltrane with Branford Marsalis and Dianne Reeves, which comes as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival.
Last year, we learned that the venue had a name and that it would be arriving at some point this year. It’s a new 3,800 capacity space, opening up in Olympia, situated above the West Exhibition Hall, with the team behind All Points East running the events.
The opening shows will mark Self Esteem’s first headline shows in the capital since a triple header of nights at Brixton Academy in October last year, which came after the release of her third studio album, A Complicated Woman.
