So we’ve partnered with Deliveroo to suss out the best restaurants in London to order a takeaway. And we’re starting our search with you guys, our passionate food-loving audience. Keep reading to find out where some of our Secret London audience think are the best restaurants on Deliveroo…
1. Wingstop
London’s fried chicken offering is elite, there’s no doubt about that. But one place in particular has got your guys’ undivided attention, and we can absolutely see why. With a choice of ten unique flavours to apply to wings, burgers, boneless, or tenders, the possibilities are endless. But according to you guys, you can’t not try Spicy Korean Q boneless or the Louisiana Rub tenders. Oh, and do not sleep on the churros (dip into a milkshake for an extra-indulgent treat)
2. Coqfighter (Best Chicken in London Deliveroo Restaurant Awards 2024)
Knowing the cult status Coqfighter has acquired among London’s fried chicken lovers, we were hardly surprised to see them pop up on the list. Together, their fried chicken, burgers and sharing plates create a divine menu of married flavours from the East and West. All are worth trying, but two especially loved dishes from each hemisphere seem to be the Green Chilli Cheese burger (W) and Laksa Butter Wings (E).
3. Maguro
Featuring everything from sushi and sashimi to bento boxes and noodles, Maguro’s extensive menu is every Japanese food-lover’s dream. The prawn and chicken gyozas are consistent crowd pleasers, and we know the spicy tuna rolls and the Maguro sashimi have a special place in the hearts of regulars.
4. BONA (Best Pizza in London Deliveroo Restaurant Awards 2024)
Perfectly executed Neapolitan pizza is what has earned BONA their recognition in the London pizza scene. 24 hour fermented dough cooked in an woodfired, artisanal oven is what gives the base its irresistible texture. The range of both veggie and meat toppings is excellent, but we’ve had lots of special shout outs for the new pepperoni nduja and the truffly Tartufata – for the white based pizza peeps out there!
5. Wahaca
We know how much our audience loves Mexican food, and Wahaca is the first option for so many Londoners when they get that craving. Plus, with such an impressive array of options perfect for both sharing and solo dining, it’s unsurprising it’s such a staple in the Secret Londoner’s Deliveroo repertoire. But what are they ordering? Pork pibil corn tortillas, zesty bean and feta tostadas and the grilled chicken club quesadilla are a good place to start it seems.
6. Rusty Bike Pub
This local East London boozer might not be the first place you look when you feel like Thai, but those who’ve discovered their great foodie offering seem to continue coming back for more. Both their Red and Green curry are some of the most popularly ordered dishes, as is the Pad Thai. And we’d definitely recommend throwing in some spring rolls whilst you’re ordering.
7. Kiyoto Sushi (Best Sushi in London Deliveroo Restaurant Awards 2024)
From salmon crunch rolls and duck gyoza to rock shrimp tempura and chicken karaage, just glancing at the dishes on Kiyoto Sushi’s menu is guaranteed to induce salivation. The options really do feel endless, but whatever direction you take, the crispy rice pieces and mixed sashimi salad are must-try side dishes.
8. Sichuan Grand
You guys love them for their wonderfully aromatic, flavour-packed hot pot. And it makes it all the more exciting that you can build your own to suit your tastes. Potential fillings include everything from deep fried crispy pork and fresh bean curd to crab meat and lotus root. And be sure to add a side of their signature pork dumplings, salt and pepper squid or smacked cucumber to snack on alongside!
9. Nanny Bill’s
You told us your favourite chicken burger to order from Deliveroo, so of course we needed to hear about where you’re getting your beef too! It’s safe to say Nanny Bill’s is comfortably in London’s front runner category where burgers are concerned, so this came as no surprise. Mac and cheese and beef brisket croquettes to accompany our juicy bacon double cheese burger? We’re sold.
10. Skewd
This award-winning North London Turkish restaurant puts their own spin on the Mediterranean cuisine we know and love. From coal fired beef sausage with herb yoghurt and honey to smashed, smoky egg plant, Skewd’s reinvited Turkish dishes have got the seal approval as an elite Deliveroo go-to from you guys.
11. Juicebaby
The team behind Notting Hill’s Juice Baby are clearly firm believers in ‘eat the rainbow’ judging by their impossibly vibrant, plant-based menu of cold-pressed juices, açai bowls and healthy lunches. You guys love it for a nutritious and utterly delicious Deliveroo option, with star orders being the cacao açai bowl, the berryoxidant smoothie and the black bean chilli hot bowl.
12. Uli (Best Chinese in London Deliveroo Restaurant Awards 2024)
Uli’s mouth watering menu is bursting with dishes that encompass Chinese, Thai, Malay and Singaporean disciplines. With so many options, narrowing down your choices might seem daunting. But we’ve got it on good authority (from you guys!) that the spicy tofu with green beans, sweet and sour chicken and Singapore noodles never miss.
13. Farmer J
Anyone who wants to incorporate more veg into their diet, but lacks inspiration on how to do so in a way that isn’t utterly boring needs a bit of Farmer J in their life. Their farm to fork approach to healthy eating manifests in fresh, well-balanced and easily customisable meals. You guys love the Gochujang salmon, the miso hispi aubergine and the feta caesar salad – and we personally think that sounds like a delightful way to contribute to your five a day.
14. Hare & Tortoise
Hare & Tortoise’s predominantly Japanese menu has everything from sashimi and sushi to donburi and noodle bowls. The super fresh ingredients and intensely flavoursome dishes are why you guys love it so much, the Tori katsu curry and roast duck and rice being two of your top picks.
15. White House Express
We can all agree good Middle-Eastern food is pretty hard to beat, and White House Express is one of you guys’ favourite places in the city to get it. Their pitta and laffa wrap sandwiches just fly off the stove (particularly the shawarma and chicken thigh), with an array of hummus, tahini and chilli dips of course!
16. Keu
We’re of the opinion that Banh Mis are criminally overlooked in the street food domain, considering how incredibly tasty they are. So we were relieved to see Keu appear on your guys list of the best places to get Deliveroo in London. The choice of fillings is to die for, but the show stoppers seem to be the crispy pork belly Banh Mi and the Hoi An Deluxe Banh Mi.
17. Cocotte
Cocotte’s rotisserie and brunch menu is the perfect for when you want something that’s both super delicious and healthy. With everything from crispy pesto halloumi to lentil and roasted pumpkin, it all sounds to die for, but you guys can’t get enough of the free range half chicken and the roasted baby potatoes.
18. Ekachai
From noodle soups to tasty wok-fried dishes, Ekachai is Southeast Asian cuisine at its finest. Their menu brings an authentic taste of Thailand, Malaysia and Hong Kong to the UK, the Hainan chicken rice and pork and prawn siu mai dumplings being two of the dishes you guys love the most.
19. Bocca Bocca
As well as a trifecta of irresistible pizza bases (each representing a stripe on the Italian flag), Bocca Bocca also offers a range of traditional pasta dishes. But if you’re not tempted by the pistachio paste based green pizza, the Brooklyn Hot Honey Spice and the mozzarella and spinach arancini are apparently the way to go.

With so many delicious toppings and extras to be added to your bowl, tucking into Poke Shack is the ultimate sensory explosion. They have lots of signature bowls to choose from, but your favourite way to order is by building your own to make the perfect creation to suit your tastes.
