Billed as the world’s longest running rum festival, RumFest returns for its 17th year this Autumn. The unmissable, weekend-long event will takeover Fulham’s ILEC Conference Centre on October 14 and 15 for a jubliant celebration of all things rum. With food, drink, and live entertainment, it’s going to be a lot of fun.
What can you expect at RumFest 2023?
Well, first and foremost, you can expect over 400 rums from around the world to be represented at RumFest. We don’t suggest trying them all, though you’ll find the established classics, and perhaps even discover new favourite(s). With my Trinidadian heritage, I’m very pleased to see Angostura Rum on the agenda, and you can also expect to see Equiano, V Rum, Foursquare Distillery, Appleton Estate Rum, Ron Santiago de Cuba, and many others.
It’s not just about trying the rums; there’ll be ample opportunity across the two days to get involved at workshops, brand-led seminars, and cocktail masterclasses. Ever wanted to know the best chocolate to pair with specific rums? Or perhaps how to create the perfect rum cocktail at home? The industry experts at RumFest will sort you right out.
If you need to line your stomach between tastings, there’ll be a plethora of Caribbean food stalls on hand, serving mouthwatering dishes that’ll transport you to back to the islands, and home of the rums. Special shout out goes to food caterers Heart & Soul Caribbean, as their soft and flaky rotis have earned much praise.
What’s more, throughout the day, there’ll be live music hailing from the Caribbean, as well as spectacular dancing during “Carnival Hour” – I’m already missing Notting Hill Carnival, so sign me up, stat.
Whether you’re in love with this specific spirit, or just after a spirited weekend, you can’t go wrong with a visit to RumFest. Book tickets via the RumFest website.
