A Christmassy concert has got to be one of the best ways to get you feeling festive as hell. And where better to enjoy some rousing live music this winter, than in one of London’s most iconic concert halls? Throughout the holiday period, the Royal Albert Hall is hosting a stellar line-up of seasonal performances, including a night with Sandi Toksvig and London Gay Men’s Orchestra, a celebration of Aretha Franklin with Jules Buckley, and many more.

On Tuesday December 10, the Grammy Award-winning Jules Buckley and his orchestra will take to the stage, along with Sheléa and Vula’s Chorale. As well as a reimagining of Buckley’s Queen of Soul Prom in 2022 with a festive twist, Sheléa will give the entire audience goosebumps in a solo tribute performance to Aretha Franklin. You can also expect plenty of Christmas classics to keep you in the festive spirit throughout the evening.
Singing and silliness by the bucketload (and perhaps even a bit of snow!) is what you can expect at Sandi Claus is Coming to Town on December 18. In a seasonal celebration of the LGBTQIA and their allies, Sandi Toksvig will belt out best-loved Christmas tunes, accompanied by the London Gay Men’s Chorus, BBC Concert Orchestra and other special guests. Recommended dress is your best festive gladrags, and perhaps bring a hanky if you’re prone to tears of laughter (or you’d like one on hand for the more touching moments).
Can’t make those concerts? There’s a whole programme of fantastic other shows coming up this winter. Experience musical magic in the Royal Albert Hall with Jamie Cullum: The Piano Man at Christmas, Home Alone in Concert, Trevor Nelson’s Soul Christmas, and many more.
