With the temperature dropping and the days getting shorter, dreamy Chinese restaurant Tattu has embraced the colder climes with the arrival of their icy paradise of a winter terrace. The revamp of Tattu’s rooftop comes with an exciting new menu and immersive dining experiences all to be enjoyed against the backdrop of panoramic views of the London skyline.
In the Chinese calendar, winter represents a still beauty, invoking royalty, dignity and purity, a time when the world is placed in temporal stasis. To reflect this, Tattu’s canopy of cherry blossom trees will turn an icy shade of blue with branches wrapped in fairy lights that’ll be twinkling all night long, taking inspiration from China’s most northernmost provinces, where snow-capped mountains and bright stars scatter the horizon.
The outdoor terrace has received a cosy transformation complete with plush furs, autumnal foliage, and outdoor heaters to keep guests warm as they indulge in the new menu that strongly focuses on sharing dishes to encourage social dining, and of course some tipples. Limited edition cocktails will be on offer at the bar featuring drinks such as The Great Snow where vodka meets elderflower, lemon and prosecco, and Zhanshi, a rich and fruity taste of tequila with coffee, blackcurrant and oat milk. DJs playing immersive deep house soundtracks will play guests on into the wintery night and will be paired with bespoke visuals to set the scene at this winter retreat.
Crowd-favourite desserts have been given a festive flair such as the Frozen Cherry Blossom with cherry, spiced apple and chocolate which is as beautiful as it is delicious. As well as the Snow Leopard, a unique dessert featuring honeycomb, white chocolate & meringue of which £1 of each sale of the dessert will go to the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation.DSWF is a charity that works in wildlife conservation across Africa and Asia to end wildlife crime and protect endangered species in their natural habitat, such as the Snow Leopard whom Tattu has partnered up with this winter.
