It’s not every day that a Rolling Stone plays a venue smaller than a stadium or arena, but in the summer, you might just be able to catch one in a space that holds just over 2,000 punters.
Ronnie Wood will play London’s Kentish Town Forum on Friday, August 21, with The Rolling Stones guitarist also announcing a show in Cologne. For both gigs, he’ll play with his band that will feature Imelda May joining him on stage on each night.
The two shows come just before a pair of gigs in Amsterdam this September, which were announced last month.
Speaking in a statement on the announcement, Ronnie Wood said: “I’m looking forward to kickin’ ass with my back catalogue and some new songs – look out London!”
Ronnie Wood‘s last solo shows in the UK came at 2019 tour in tribute to Chuck Berry, which saw him cover the musician’s songs and included a gig at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire. His last London headline show playing his own material came all the way back in 2010 at the Ambassadors Theatre.
