Leave the wellies at home and get your festival fix abroad this summer by jetting off to the sun-drenched streets of Lisbon on June 20, 21, 27, and 28. Rock in Rio Lisbon 2026 will soon be back to transform the city into a musical hub over two weekends, promising an epic lineup of everything from vibrant, joy-filled pop to the irresistibly cathartic, scream-your-lungs-out rock.
The festival previously made a splash with the announcement of its first four iconic headliners: British legend Rod Stewart, American superstar Katy Perry, rock sensation Linkin Park, and British rapper 21 Savage. Now, global popstar Bebe Rexha has been announced as the newest addition to the lineup at Rock in Rio Lisbon this summer.
Each of these artists will headline a themed show in the four-day festival. Katy Perry and Bebe Rexha will headline for pop, Linkin Park for rock, 21 Savage for urban, and Rod Stewart will of course, be at the heart of Legends day.

What is the Rock in Rio Lisbon festival?
Rock in Rio is a multi-genre festival originally from Brazil. It was first created by Roberto Medina who dreamed it up in 1985, when the country was taking its first steps towards democracy. The dream became a reality – and a success – and it celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2025. Since that very first festival over a decade ago it has expanded internationally; last year, it celebrated the 20th anniversary of its Lisbon iteration.
Don’t be fooled by the name, it’s not just rock music you can expect. The festival is known for its diverse lineup, spanning a variety of genres including pop, electronica, hip-hop and many more. Past performers have included global stars such as Madonna, Amy Winehouse, The Rolling Stones, Black Eyed Peas and Justin Bieber.
Who will be performing at Rock in Rio Lisbon 2026?
June 20-21
Multi-platinum superstar Bebe Rexha will be headlining on June 20, the first day of the festival, along with other global sensations like American singer-songwriter Katy Perry, who will be delighting her fans with her usual infectious energy and a setlist of chart-topping hits. Singer-songwriter Charlie Puth is also set to perform on the same day, along with Brazilian DJ and singer Pedro Sampaio, known for dance-inducing hits, musical duo Calema, who deliver a dynamic mix of afrobeat, reggae and hip-hop, and Portuguese Indie band Napa.
Linkin Park will be taking to the Rock in Rio Lisbon stage on June 21. Following the tragic passing of frontman Chester Bennington, the band has reformed with Emily Montgomery taking up lead vocals – living up to the legacy of her predecessor with strong, gritty vocals. That same day, you could also find yourself singing your lungs out to Kaiser Chiefs, Cypress Hill, and singer-songwriter Grandson.

June 27-28
We cannot wait to see Rod Stewart take on the stage as headliner on June 27 – the dedicated day for ‘Legends of Music’ and a banging opener for the second weekend of Rock in Rio Lisbon. Fresh off his ‘Legends slot’ set at Glastonbury, the shaggy-haired pop rock icon will treat his loyal fans to a trip down music memory lane with his gravelly vocals and repertoire of chart-topping hits from rock ballads to disco-leaning earworms.
80s pop icon Cyndi Lauper, 90s stars 4 Non Blondes, and beloved soul voice Joss Stone have been further revealed as part of the unmissable Legends day lineup, giving fans a chance to experience some of the greatest hits of the last few decades.
Cyndi Lauper will take to the Main Stage before Rod Stewart, making her debut at Rock in Rio Lisbon with her playful hits that defined the 80s. 4 Non Blondes will then give us a show in what will be a historic return after many years away from the stage – even if you didn’t grow up with their music, you’ve probably heard it on TikTok, where their hit single “What’s Up?” went viral. Joss Stone will finally headline the Super Bock Stage with her widely beloved soulful tunes.
Across the second weekend of the festival, you can also enjoy performances from Jamaican reggae artists The Wailers and Shaggy, as well as alt-pop artist Syro, plus pioneering Portuguese bands, including Jafu’mega, Xutos & Pontapés, GNR, UHF, and Táxi.
On June 28, Grammy winner 21 Savage will headline the World Stage, joined by fellow British rapper Central Cee, American rapper CeeLo Green, Afrobeat legend Rema, and urban favourites Matuê, Filipe Ret, Dennis, Carlão, Irina Barros, and Lola Índigo. This final day will be a youthful, energetic celebration of the most impactful beats and rhythms today – from hip hop and rap to trap, funk, and Afropop.

Where is the festival located?
Rock in Rio will take place in Parque Tejo, a sprawling green space in Lisbon found near the mouth of the river Trancã. In a less-than-three-hour flight from London, you could be donning your best festival outfit for a memorable celebration of music, culture and diversity.
