“Excellent fun.” “Magical.” “10/10 – will recommend to everyone.” These are just some of the reviews of the Bubble Planet experience in Wembley. The immersive world is exactly what it says on the tin: a world full of bubbles. If that alone doesn’t convince you to follow in the footsteps of over 500,000 London visitors and take a visit though, maybe our five reasons to visit will encourage you into the beautiful, bubbly world of Bubble Planet.
1. You escape the mundane
Life is hard. Who doesn’t want to escape responsibilities and the daily rigmarole sometimes, and rediscover childhood joy instead? Like kids all over the city, you can embrace the joy of bubbles; and at Bubble Planet, they come in all shapes, sizes, and textures. There are 11 rooms themed around different types of bubbles, some more permanent than others. And, for the traditionalists among us, the experience concludes with a room full of traditional bubbles, cascading down from a high-up machine. Child-like magic? Tick.
2. You can… erm… become a bubble
Yep, that’s right. Forget just blowing bubbles; at Bubble Planet, you can become a bubble. Thanks to VR technology, you can embark on a trip around the world in just 10 minutes, becoming a bubble in champagne, a bubble in a lava lamp, and even floating over pyramids. The experience feels weirdly real – I felt like I was freefalling at one point – and is further supported by the suspended bubble chairs in which you sit throughout the experience.
Back in the ‘real world’, there is also the opportunity to step inside a large bubble – it may be temporary, but it will create a long-lasting fun memory for adults and kids alike.
3. There’s something for everyone
Speaking of both adults and kids, Bubble Planet is one of the few experiences where I feel that children, adults, or groups mixed with both, will all genuinely have a great time. The immersive world is home to one of the biggest ball pits in the capital, which has inflatables and a machine that spits balls back out to you – both children and adults alike will be filled with glee.
There are many Instagrammable elements, like the infinity room, and the photo zones. Much like all the world’s hotspots – Bali and Amsterdam to name just two – there is even a sky swing photo op.
4. It’s a great spot for group bookings
Whether a small kids’ birthday party or a large hen do, Bubble Planet offers great packages for group bookings. The team at the venue will create a bespoke package for private or semi-private events, including cake, catering and merch. If it’s a kids’ event, they’ll even host special family-friendly activities, plus school-age groups can benefit from the educational insights into the science behind the bubbles.
As for any hen dos, or corporate bookings, you can have a great time, then continue your night at the bars and restaurants in Wembley afterwards.
5. You can finish your visit with a bubble-themed sweet treat
To round off our five reasons to visit Bubble Planet, let’s take a look at the end of the experience. Alongside the gift shop, you’ll find a selection of popups selling sweet treats. On my visit, Fully Loaded London bubble waffles and Bubbleology bubble tea were on offer (I treated myself to both, and I was not disappointed), while on other occasions, Little Moons mochi ice cream was available. Whichever vendor is selling treats, you’ll leave with a sweet memory of your visit.
