Mercados do leste de Londres
1. Mercado da Broadway
Paraíso gastronómico em mais de 120 bancas. Desde que foi relançado em 2004, o Broadway Market ganhou a reputação de ser possivelmente o mais delicioso mercado de sábado que Londres tem para oferecer. Aconchegado entre o Regent’s Canal e London Fields, vai querer usar algo largo para uma visita aqui. Há também ótimos pubs, delicatessens e cafés para quem quiser matar a sede.

2. Mercado Netil
Situado ao virar da esquina do já mencionado Broadway Market, o Netil Market é muito mais calmo. Os comerciantes permanentes permanecem durante toda a semana na sua aldeia de contentores de transporte, mas o sábado é o dia do mercado, onde a moda vintage, as bancas de artesanato e os vendedores de comida de rua saem para brincar. Também fica mesmo ao lado da Netil House – um excelente bar no telhado para visitar se o sol estiver a brilhar.

3. Mercado de Victoria Park
Combine o parque mais bonito do leste de Londres (bem, certamente para os residentes de Hackney) e um barco cheio de comida deliciosa, e aí tem o excelente Victoria Park Market, um dos melhores mercados de domingo em Londres. Este é o local ideal para comprar fruta e legumes frescos, o que o torna um excelente local para fazer as suas cinco refeições diárias, mas os menos preocupados com a saúde podem comprar produtos da Meltsmiths, Gyoza Guys e A Pie Party, para citar apenas alguns. Também têm uma charcutaria para cães, bares de sumos e kombucha e cervejas artesanais em abundância.

4. Mercado de Brick Lane
Não há como evitar: Brick Lane é espetacular. Mas aos domingos, esta rua movimentada transforma-se num enorme mercado, onde os tesouros esperam em cada esquina. A moda vintage, as artes e ofícios e outras curiosidades tomam conta da Old Truman Brewery, enquanto a vizinha Boiler House se transforma num local de comida internacional. O Sunday Upmarket e o Backyard Market ficam logo ao lado, e ambos certamente revelarão bugigangas escondidas, como jóias e estampas ecléticas. Há também um mercado vintage aqui chamado The Tea Rooms, então você vai ter a certeza de passar algumas horas aqui.

5. Mercado de Flores da Columbia Road
Ramos de flores brilhantes até onde a vista alcança. É este o cenário que encontrará aos domingos em East End. O Columbia Road Flower Market é justificadamente famoso como o mais bonito mercado de domingo que Londres tem para oferecer, e tem uma boa hipótese de conseguir uma pechincha se for até lá perto da hora de fecho. A Columbia Road é também composta inteiramente por lojas independentes, pelo que cada libra gasta aqui apoia as empresas locais que trabalham arduamente.

6. Mercado de Old Spitalfields
O OG dos mercados do leste de Londres está aberto sete dias por semana, mas os fins-de-semana são os mais movimentados e coloridos. Os suspeitos habituais de comida, moda e artesanato estão todos presentes, e encontrará restaurantes e lojas de gama alta à volta do mercado. Naturalmente, os belos arcos de ferro de Spitalfields são perfeitos para um ‘gram’ atrevido de ‘olha onde estou’.

7. Mercado de Portobello Road
Sabemos de fonte segura que tudo o que um homem pode descarregar é vendido aqui. Apesar de o maior mercado de antiguidades do mundo ser o centro das atenções, seria uma loucura não percorrer toda a extensão da Portobello Road e ver tudo o que é oferecido. Em direção a Ladbroke Grove, encontrará uma gama mais diversificada de bancas, bem como o mercado alimentar de Acklam Village, e se alguma vez se cansar do mercado, as famosas casas coloridas de Notting Hill estão tentadoramente perto. Até estão a proibir os carros para manter a qualidade do ar – parece-nos muito bem!

8. Mercado dos Agricultores de Marylebone
Como seria de esperar, dado o seu nome, o Marylebone Farmers’ Market tem tudo a ver com comida. Um dos principais mercados de agricultores da capital, há sempre algo novo para encontrar à medida que as estações mudam aqui, desde os espargos mais frescos em abril até aos morangos em maio e cerejas em julho. Procure carne e aves de capoeira excelentes, caça na época e salsichas de produtores locais.

9. Mercado de antiguidades de Alfie
Portobello Road tem uma competição séria no jogo de antiguidades. 14. Mercado de Greenwich

Multicolorido e multicultural, o Mercado de Brixton é imperdível.
