Go big or go dome this summer with these brilliant private domes…
When considering how to reunite the squad for a catchup, it’s good to think outside the box. But perhaps, you should think inside the dome? The Secret Garden in Kensington has a lawn full of secluded private domes that double up as London’s cutest and quaintest little restaurants, and they’re somehow even more charming in summer. They’re reopening to diners on May 19, and you can snag yourself a spot in one here!
With indoor dining permitted from May 17, the private domes are perfect for socially distanced reunions with pals. After the long social drought of 2020, what could be better than spending a few hours wining and dining with friends and family, in the privacy of your very own dream dome? Dinnertime and afternoon tea sittings are both available, and there’s a truly delectable menu available for each.
This summer’s menus take inspiration from Asian cuisine; you could be dipping into nulgogi-marinated South American steak, choi sum with crispy garlic, and chicken fillets with lemongrass and satay sauce. Meanwhile, there’s an afternoon tea menu filled with sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats for those who’d prefer to take some tea in the dome. Whichever you choose, pop some bubbly, kick back, and raise a glass to dome sweet dome!
