Most of us live near a Primark, and the one thing that defines them all is the sheer size of the places. Not only will you come out with a mean deal on clothes, but your step count around the shop will skyrocket.
And that, friends, is going to become even more true of one London Primark, which is set to double in size – jumping from 45,100 square feet to 81,000 square feet.
Shoppers at Primark Westfield Stratford will soon be able to make their around a shop that is upgrading from two to four floors, with the huge extension to the store set for completion in early 2024.
There are also plans to extend their famous collaborations with Greggs, so a trip to Westfield will still mean filling your bags with a heap of sausage roll-themed merch, this time across a four-floor, which we can all get behind.
Plus, they are set continue their partnership with Wornwell by the Vintage Wholesale Company, and Primark have committed to opening four new stores in the UK over the next two years.
More space also means more jobs, with 250 extra vacancies set to become available with the giant leap in size of Westfield Stratford.
Speaking on the news, Kari Rodgers, Primark’s retail director UK, said: “After setting out an ambitious investment plan a few months ago, it’s exciting that we can now reveal another one of the stores set to benefit.
“We’re looking forward to extending our offering at Westfield and giving shoppers in Stratford even more of the great style and incredible value they love the most.”
