Aqua Shard’s Peter Pan Afternoon Tea is the perfect place for any lost boys (or girls) out there.

A wise young man once said “to live would be an awfully big adventure” – and you can definitely live your best life at this Peter Pan afternoon tea! Aqua Shard’s afternoon tea experience is perfect for anyone who fancies a trip to the enchanting world of Neverland. Head to the 31st floor of The Shard to enjoy panoramic views of the iconic London skyline, an irresistible menu, and a trip down memory lane. [Featured image: @aquashard]

The sweet and savoury treats on offer are incredible, and to make things even more exciting, your food will arrive on a tea-stand resembling Captain Hook’s infamous ship. You can expect masts, sails, planks and even dry ice, creating the perfect illusion of a hovering pirate ship. Let’s just hope they let you off the hook and don’t make you walk the plank…

There are an array of tasty finger sandwiches available including ‘The Lost Boys’, which contains roasted chicken, crispy bacon and the perfect accompanying sauces. And if you want to see a hook crafted out of pastry, order the ‘Codfish’ – you won’t regret it! As for your sweet treats, you’ll find some of them hidden in a secret treasure chest. If you’re lucky enough to find the treasure, warm scones with coconut clotted cream will await you.

The talented Aqua Shard bar team have created two signature drinks that would even please Mr Pan himself. The ‘Never Grow Up’ punch is wonderfully nostalgic and non-alcoholic. It is made out of pineapple, elderflower tonic and grenadine, for a sweet and satisfying mixture. For the big kids at the afternoon tea, ‘Fairy Dust’ contains mint and cucumber flavoured vodka, absinthe, apple, ginger and lime ingredients, and of course, faith, trust and pixie dust!

Best of all, this afternoon tea is being run in partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity – which means £2 from each afternoon tea package sold will be donated directly to the charity. So while this will undoubtedly be a day out for you to remember, it will also be a great way to help children in need.

For those of us that are secretly sick of adulting and want to channel our inner child, this is the place to be!
