Putting the ‘house’ in greenhouse…
We love London (and glassy buildings in particular) but we are a little jealous of the Grand Palais in Paris and its upcoming Seasons party.
This huge hall, with an ornate glass ceiling, dates back to 1900, and these days plays host to anything from art exhibitions to winter ice skating to circus performances. (It’ll even be hosting taekwondo in the 2024 Olympics, dontchaknow.)
But now, the venue is launching a new series of seasonal super-parties attracting revellers fromm across the continent. Called simply Seasons, the producers hope to bring the outside in four times a year, as the Palais invites top DJs to perform and the interior is given a timely twist.
The first show, coming up on May 26, 2018, will celebrate the start of summer, with tropical rainforest, exotic flowers and rhythmic summer sounds filling the space, all enhanced by a unique lighting system.
On stage, Jamie Jones, Guy Gerber, Butch, dOP and Michel Cleis will be playing until 6am, keeping the house happening.
