Creatives and wordsmiths alike will go nuts for Papersmiths.
Let’s face it, life can be pretty messy sometimes. If you’re one of those hyper-organised types that put the rest of us to shame, then you are going to adore this spot. Papersmiths is a haven of stationery, books, and a mountain of other creative goodies, all organised in the most hypnotic patterns.
A small chain with a strong identity, Papersmiths have branches in Shoreditch and now Chelsea, with further outposts in Bristol and Brighton. Pencils come pleasingly arranged in colour blocks, whilst high-powered magazines and lifestyle guides dot the shelves.
There’s all the equipment for budding calligraphers, journals for charting your hopes and dreams, and charcoal pencils for creating breathtaking sketches of the London skyline.
Should your desire to live in a neatly organised world prove even greater, you can check out Papersmiths’ range of homeware, which encompasses art prints and candles. A range of witty greetings cards will help you say it in style, but this all depends on whether you’re able to tear your eyes away from the cute decor.
The Shoreditch store is a particularly on-trend shade of millennial pink camped out in Boxpark, whilst the newly-opened Chelsea branch is a suave study of wood and brick.
I’ll end this article with a warning: a visit here will give you a serious case of interior inspo, and probably have you clutching bags full of stationery by the time you head off home, gamely prepared to take another stab at turning your home into a Instagram paradise. Bon chance, friends.
