After opening more than 140 years ago, Olympia has officially entered a brand-new era. The historic West Kensington landmark has undergone a major transformation and opened on June 15 complete with rooftop restaurants, cocktail bars, a live music venue and absolutely buzzing energy. Whether you’re after post-work drinks, a bite to eat or a night of live entertainment, Olympia is shaping up to be one of London’s hottest destinations this summer.
Get a glimpse of the all new Olympia this summer
One of Olympia’s most exciting new additions is its rooftop terrace, perfect for al fresco sundowners and dining whatever the weather. Under the dazzling glass Canopy is a collection of only-at-Olympia exclusive bars and restaurants. You can tuck into Mexican-inspired small plates and cocktails at Bar Arriba, experience after-dark energy at Wolves of Tokyo, or enjoy British small plates and sparkling wine at Lillie’s. Want to try a mix of everything? Head to Arbour, the multi-concept food hall, serving everything from smashed burgers to artisan coffee. These new openings join Idalia, Olympia’s grand all-day restaurant in the historic Pillar Hall, which welcomed its first guests in March.
There’ll also be free live music events taking place every Wednesday and Sunday throughout the summer in the Square, as well as family-friendly activities and immersive art content displayed on the Canvas, an 83-meter-long, 8-meter-wide Samsung digital screen.
And of course, Olympia will be sticking to its roots and bringing in top tier music acts with their new live entertainment and music venue, British Airways ARC which launched this Tuesday (June 16) with an iconic performance from Self Esteem. And the summer lineup looks just as star studded with acts set to take the stage including McFly (June 18), Zac Brown Band (June 25) and a five-night residency from Van Morrison (September 23-29).
There’s even more excitement coming our way as well, with the opening of two new hotels at Olympia including the Hyatt Regency London Olympia on 6 July and citizenM London Olympia later this summer. And to top it all off, The British Airways theatre, the largest permanent theater in 50 years with a capacity of 1,575, will open its doors at Olympia in 2027.
