Guess where we’re heading as soon as this pesky pandemic is over?
If, to misquote Pulp, you wanna live like Normal People, then we’ve found your solution. The gorgeous Italian villa in which Marianne, Connell, and friends escape to in the BBC’s hottest new show is available to rent on Airbnb, and you’ll be able to stay there from as little as £35 per night.
La Tenuta di Verzano is described as “an old farmhouse with an uncontaminated charm”, and sits amongst the beautiful rolling hills of Sant’Oreste, about an hour’s drive north of Rome. The charming house marries two very important aspects: one, it’s traditional, having belonged to the same family for 150 years, and two, it’s got a swimming pool, which is perfect for a session of contemplative standing-on-diving-board, as modelled by Marianne (Daisy Edgar-Jones).
There’s room for six guests – and all the personal drama you can muster – at the house, with two large bedrooms and lovely period furnishings simply adding to the rustic charm. Of course, I wouldn’t recommend heading off there just yet, what with the global pandemic and all, but it’s definitely one to add to your bucket list!
