While most of us are currently focused on how we’ll secure tickets to the next round of Oasis tickets that are all set to drop soon, the Gallaghers are still hitting the news for things other than the biggest musical reunion in memory.
This one specifically involves one-half of the pair, as it has been confirmed that a photo of Noel Gallagher will go on display over at the National Portrait Gallery as part of their new Legends collection.

Photographer Zoe Law captured the photo of Noel Gallagher, which will go on to appear in the Legends exhibition that kicks off on November 29. Once this ends on March 2, the piece will then become part of the National Portrait Gallery’s permanent collection.
Speaking on the news of his addition to the National Portrait Gallery, Noel Gallagher said: “The thought of the portrait of a grumpy middle-aged man, who frankly hates having his picture taken, being permanently displayed for future generations to marvel at is very special. Thanks and praise.”
The collection also features photos of Sir Bobby Charlton, Orlando Bloom, and a photo of Canadian actress Kim Cattrall that has never been seen before.
Photographer Zoe Law also spoke on the news, adding: “It is the greatest honour that my portrait of the legend Noel Gallagher has been acquired by the National Portrait Gallery – a lasting legacy that all portrait photographers and artists dream of.”
Also included in the Gallery’s collection is a 1995 of Oasis, with Noel, Liam Gallagher, Alan White and ‘Bonehead’ (Paul Arthurs).
Oasis has just announced more dates in London following controversies over queues and ‘dynamic pricing’ when the tickets for the first set of dates went on sale.
The Legends collection, featuring the photo of Noel Gallagher, goes on display on November 29 at the National Portrait Gallery, St. Martin’s Place, WC2H 0HE (nearest stations are Charing Cross and Leicester Square).
