Hang ten or just hang out at The Montague on the Gardens’ tropical beach bar.

Stuck in London for the summer? That doesn’t mean you won’t be able to head to the beach, because one Bloomsbury hotel is bringing the beach to you. Luxury spot The Montague on the Gardens have brought back their bopping beach bar for another season. If drinking tropical cocktails and digging your toes into the sand is your idea is heaven, then this place definitely needs to be on your list.Beach bar

Really, the convenience of a tropical beach just up the street from the British Museum can’t be overstated. Filled with palm trees, real sand, and beach huts, this is one hot beach bar. Particularly when you throw in a barbecue-heavy food menu to fuel all that Caribbean chilling you’ll be indulging in. There’s even a Beach Bar Jet Ski selfie area where guests can take a selfie on The Montague’s jet ski. If you use the hashtag #SurfMontague, you could win a luxury mini break – no word yet on whether it’ll be in the Bahamas, though.

Preach, sista.

We’ve saved the best for last, though. This year, the Montague beach bar will feature London’s first ever ‘Brunch on the Beach’, which quite frankly is an idea so perfect we can’t believe it hasn’t been done before. Because no beach experience is complete without a menu featuring the likes of avocado and smoked salmon, mini chicken and bacon burgers, and ice cream cones. Oh, and just FYI, it’s a bottomless brunch. Which means unlimited refills of Pina Coladas, Sex on the Beach, and Vodka Melon Coolers. Who needs Barbados when you’ve got Bloomsbury?Beach bar

Alex Landon

Although Alex spent most of his life in Somerset and Durham, London is (almost) in his name, so he relocated to the capital and fell in love with it. Now going by the moniker 'Secret Landon', you'll find him eating all of London's street food, lost in a bookshop, or shouting at his beloved ice hockey team, the Minnesota Wild.
