“Remember, remember, the 5th of November” – because that’s when one of Spain’s most celebrated restaurants will be winging its way to London for an extra-special meal. Aptly coinciding with Bonfire Night, Madrid’s two-Michelin-starred Smoked Room restaurant will touch down at Westminster’s Ekstedt at The Yard for one night only.
The collaborative event combines the forces of two restaurants renowned for cooking with open fire. Over in Spain, Smoked Room is known for its fiery omakase experience in an intimate 14-cover site. They also made history by earning two Michelin stars within just six months. Meanwhile, Ekstedt at The Yard is famed in London for paring cooking back to basics and creating stunning dishes with live fire cooking.

Head Chef Luca Mastrantoni (Ekstedt at The Yard) and Head Chef Massimiliano Delle Vedove (Smoked Room) have collaborated on a seven-course dinner that celebrates the “drama and depth of open-fire cooking“. Dishes bring Londoners a taste of the Smoked Room menu, with cooking that blends “Japanese omakase techniques and Spanish haute cuisine”.
The menu will include dishes like:
- Ekstedt’s signature Flambadou oyster
- Charcoal-grilled bluefin tuna jowl
- Juniper-smoked venison
The special meal isn’t cheap, though, with tickets running £170 per person. But if you are looking to splurge, you can also add a volcanic wine pairing, and it truly is a unique dining experience.

Note: Due to the nature of the one-off menu, they cannot accommodate dietary requirements.
The Smoked Room Bonfire Night meal will take place on November 5 at Ekstedt at The Yard, 3-5 Great Scotland Yard, SW1A 2HN. The nearest stations are Charing Cross and Embankment.
