Mariah Carey Has Been Doing Festive Safety Announcements On The Tube This Week

Mariah Carey

The Queen of Christmas has been keeping commuters safe this week.

If you’re the sort of person who is liable to tear their hair out every time they hear Mariah Carey’s Christmas classic ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’, then you probably want to exit this article pretty sharpish. TfL, in partnership with Sony Music, have got Miss Carey herself to run safety announcements at certain tube stations this week, and they’re hella festive, as you can hear:

As you can hear, she’s in full diva mode here, letting you know that she “doesn’t do stairs” (that’s a luxury you can afford after all those royalties, I guess). The 10-second message has time for a quick Christmas pun, and I bet you can’t guess what it is… If you’ve been through Waterloo, Stratford, or London Bridge tube stations this week, you’ll have heard her dulcet tones keeping you safe, and there’s still time to hear it! Certainly a nice touch should you hear those delay bells ringing…
