Create your own fab Christmas jumper at these fun and festive workshops.
Who among us doesn’t admire a truly eye-popping festive knit? With Christmas Jumper Day coming up on December 14, it behooves us all to have at least one stunningly seasonal sweater in the wardrobe, ready for any Yuletide occasion. And here’s your chance to make your own!
A new series of workshops is popping up in London, giving you the chance to customise a bespoke statement piece for Christmas, shaming the off-the-rack Primark picks of your friends, family and colleagues. SHAME, I SAY.
Taking place in an immersive space in Camden Market, base sweaters are provided along with all the sparkly, felty and jingly accoutrements you dare to add. Let the tinsel fly!
Running between Dec 5 – Dec 22 and costing just £25, these hour-long craft bonanzas promise to be hilarious events for festive friends, and guests are welcome to BYOB. (Organisers have been kind enough to lay on some glassware, so you don’t have to madly swig prosecco straight from the bottle as you feverishly scream ‘MORE POMPOMS! I NEED MORE POMPOMS!’ at the staff.)
The workshops are perfectly paired with a visit to an excellent Camden pub or restaurant – cheese feast, anyone? – giving you the opportunity to proudly model your latest creation among civilians, who will suddenly feel distinctly undressed.
