Where most glamping sites in the UK accommodate guests in tents, wooden huts, or occasionally homes on wheels, there is one spot just over an hour outside London that looks a little different. Located amid the greenery of West Kent, Luna Domes offers the glamping experience – camping but make it luxury – in an enclave of spacey geodesic domes that put a futuristic twist on your outdoorsy getaway.
There are six of these peculiar domes on the site, but the Ashdown dome is one of the most intriguing, built into the hillside with a unique split-level architecture that separates the main upper balcony from the private hot tub on the lower platform. All of the domes have panoramic views of the surroundings, so you’re sure to catch a glorious sunrise over the meadows.

Inside the domes: two king-size beds (one floating on a mezzanine), a heated bathroom with a shower, and a skylight to fall asleep under the stars. Each dome also includes high-speed Wi-Fi, a wardrobe and a dressing table with a hair dryer, kitchen appliances, and a fully equipped BBQ setup.
The domes are equally romantic and family-friendly, perfect for sun-soaked days out and cosy nights in, and a couple of them even accommodate pets.

Beyond its spacey take on glamping, one of the draws of Luna Domes is its location in West Kent, surrounded by castles – such as Hever and Chiddingstone – historic towns, nature walks, and other attractions just a 10-minute drive from the site. Many heritage pubs and restaurants can be found nearby as well, so a bite is never far, even while staying in the countryside.
