Adrenaline-loving Londoners, I come bearing yet another activity to add to the ever-growing list of weird-and-wonderful activities you can do in and around the capital. Just a stone’s snowball’s throw from London lies the longest toboggan run in the entire country. And you can take a ride on it for less than the price of a pint in the city. Not bad, hey?
Chatham Snowsports Centre is the name, and – well, it does what it says on the tin, really – offering up a whole host of snowy activities (minus the snow) is the game. One particularly exciting activity on offer is the longest toboggan run the UK. Coming in at a rather lengthy 750 metres, the toboggan run is sure to get your heart-racing, without breaking the bank.

It costs just £5.20 to hop on a toboggan and experience the twists, turns, and terrific views once. But if you just can’t get enough, you can opt for two rides for £9.50 or five for £19. Children as young as four years old can get involved in the action, so it’s sure to be brr-illiant fun for the whole family.
Alongside the tobogganing, visitors to Chatham Snowsports Centre can try their hand at the likes of dri-slope skiing, snowboarding, and sno-tubing. And if all that adrenaline has made you slightly peckish; there’s an on-site Alpine Bar where you can refuel and rehydrate after your snow-sport sesh.

Happy tobogganing, Londoners.
