Have you ever wondered what the animals at the zoo get up to after closing time? Well, now’s your chance to find out as London Zoo are giving visitors the chance to snooze within roaring distance of the lions at their zoo-perb London Zoo Lodges experience.
Due to wildly popular demand, the conservation zoo have ever-so-kindly added extra dates so that more animal-loving Londoners can experience an after-hours prowl around the zoo and a night snuggled up in one of their cosy lodges.
Ensuring that there’s the perfect package for everyone; there are plenty of dates available over the spring and summer months. And there are experiences tailor-made for families with children and adult-only dates available.
What does the experience involve?
Once checked in to their lodge, guests will kick off their experience with a trip to the mane attraction: an after-hours tour of the zoo. Next on the agenda is a delicious two-course meal followed by a cosy nights snuggled up in one of the private lodges.
London Zoo’s beautifully decorated lion-side lodges have been inspired by the charm of hotels in Gujarat. Each lodge is themed around a different animal but each is super cosy and boasting an en-suite bathroom and a private veranda to sit and listen to the sounds of the zoo at night.
Who needs an alarm clock when you have the lions roaring you awake in time for breakfast, hey? Before the zoo opens to the public, sleepover guests will have the chance to enjoy a buffet breakfast and an exclusive morning tour of the zoo, complete with a meet-and-greet with one of the zookeepers.
If all that wasn’t enough, sleepover attendees get free entry into the zoo for two days either side of their star (or a visit to their sister zoo, Whipsnade Zoo on the second day), free car parking, and 10% discount in the gift shop and restaurant.
