As we hurtle towards the most festive time of year, the city is full to the brim with Christmassy things to do and see. But to make things as magical as they ought to be, don’t get caught out by tube and train disruptions. So if you’re heading out on the town for a festive feast or just going to admire the Christmas lights, here’s what disruptions you need to be aware of.
Bakerloo line
- Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 November: There is no service between Queen’s Park and Harrow & Wealdstone.
Northern line
- Friday 28 into Saturday 29 November: There is no Friday Night Tube service between Hampstead and Edgware from 01:30 until 02:45 due to track work.
- Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 November: There is no service between Golders Green and Edgware, including during Friday and Saturday Night Tube.
London Overground
Lioness line
- Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 November: There is no service between Euston and Watford Junction.
Windrush line
- Thursday 27 November: There is no service between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace/West Croydon after 23:30 due to Network Rail track work.
- Sunday 30 November: There is no service between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction, and you should use Tube and rail services or local bus routes, with rail replacement buses running between Canada Water and Clapham Junction.
Elizabeth line
- Sunday 30 November: There is no service between Paddington and Ealing Broadway until 07:45 due to track and maintenance work.
- Sunday 30 November: Trains will not stop at Woolwich until 10:00, and you should use DLR services to Woolwich Arsenal and local bus routes.
- Sunday 30 November: There is a reduced service between Paddington and Maidenhead/Heathrow.
DLR
- Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 November: There is no service between Bank/Tower Gateway and Canning Town/Lewisham due to signal testing and essential maintenance works.
- Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 November: There is no service between Canary Wharf and Stratford.
