Several lines on the London Underground network are currently fully or partially out of action at the time of writing, with TfL confirming power failures across the lines today (May 12). These lines are currently fully suspended or part suspended and running with severe delays, with four of these thought to be down to the power outages. The Weaver line on the Overground is fully suspended, though this is listed as being in response to an earlier fire alert.
As for London Overground’s Weaver and Milmay lines, plus the Elizabeth line and several Tube lines, it is believed the suspensions were caused by a power cut in southwest London at around 2:30pm. According to the BBC, power has now been restored – but there are still delays and suspensions across the lines.
It hasn’t all been a smooth return to power, though. While the Northern line looks to be faring a little better (now running with minor delays), the two Overground lines affected by the power failures have been added to the list along with the Piccadilly line, and there are still delays across multiple other services. Those commuting this evening are advised to keep an eye on the status, and prepare for crowding on lines.
UPDATE: Service has now been restored on the Waterloo & City line, though it now runs with minor delays. There is also now part suspensions and delays affecting the District, Circle, and Metropolitan lines. (accurate as of 5:53pm on Monday, May 12).

- Suffragette line: Suspended. The Suffragette branch of the London Overground is suspended, though this is in response to a fire alert and is not listed as a result of the power failures affecting the aforementioned five lines.

- District line: Part-suspended. No trains between Tower Hill and Earl’s Court due to a trespasser on the track at Mansion House.

What happens if I have a ticket on the line?
Tickets are being accepted on bus routes around the city. There is hope that lines will be running again, though be sure to keep an eye out on TfL services to view the status of the London Underground. Those struggling to access the TfL website, which is likely being crowded with users, can also access the lay of the land on each Tube line via the TfL Go app.
This is a developing story, and the status of London Underground line are subject to change. Line statuses in this article are accurate as of 5:53pm on Monday, May 12.
