Don’t you miss the buzz of being in a crowd, listening to live music with a drink in your hand?
Well, we can’t quite bring you the crowds (or the booze, I’m afraid), but we can bring you the buzz. As part of our new ‘Lockdown Live’ series, curated in partnership with Martell, we’re spotlighting some of the UK’s most exciting local musicians. Next up is Jack Kenworthy—singer/songwriter/keyboardist and general frontman of London-based band, Colouring—playing to a live audience on Friday, April 24.
Jack will be serenading Secret London followers on Friday from 7pm. Playing songs from the Colouring’s discography, you can expect a gorgeous display of atmospheric electropop; totally unplugged and all from Jack’s piano. The band have released tracks through Interscope Records, whose artists include Billie Eilish, Easy Life, Lana Del Rey, Tame Impala, and so many more. They’ve also previously accompanied The 1975 on a North American tour, so you could say they’re kind of a big deal.
Each week on Lockdown Live, talented local creatives will take over our Instagram live feed, bringing you beautiful music or teaching you something new in the kitchen. On Thursday, April 16, Chef Tom Brown from acclaimed Hackney restaurant Cornerstone took over the Secret London Instagram feed to cook up a delicious monkfish dish — and we can’t wait to show you what else we have in store.
You can catch up on past Lockdown Live performances over on @martellofficial’s IGTV.
