You’re probably pretty familiar with the shops and restaurants of Battersea Power Station, since the doors to the once-unused building opened to the public in October 2022. However, did you know there’s more than just hospitality in the iconic venue, and you can actually live in Battersea Power Station?!
Within the power station itself, there are over 200 apartments, and in the surrounding development (Circus West Village, Electric Boulevard, and New Mansion Square), there are many, many more homes. And, fun fact, when the first residential properties went on sale back in 2013 during the redevelopment stage, 75% of the homes ended up being sold within the first four days!

Facilities for residents at Battersea Power Station
If you live in Battersea Power Station, it’s not just history and a nice little zone 1 pad you’ll be getting. Residents benefit from a range of amenities, including access to rooftop gardens, a sunset bar, shared workspaces, cinema rooms, and on-site gyms. That’s not to mention the 150+ shops, bars, and restaurants on your doorstep…

So, how much does it cost to live at Battersea Power Station?
At the time of writing, the cheapest available apartment in Battersea Power Station is listed at £1.6mil. For that price, you’ll live in an original part of the power station, benefitting from its brick walls, Crittall windows and herringbone flooring – plus you’ll have an open-plan kitchen, one bedroom, and two bathrooms. That’s on top of all the facilities listed above too. For current available flats in the power station, you can check out the listings on the Battesea Power Station website.
If, like for me, the purchase price is out of your humble budget, there are still plenty of other things you can do in the power station, that don’t involve just eating and drinking – but still involve getting a taste of history. If Egyptian kings are your thing, you can travel back in time at Ramses and the Pharaohs’ Gold, a VR experience and exhibition located at the power station’s cultural and entertainment space, NEON. This exhibition boasts the largest collection of Ramses II items to have ever left Egypt, and has a unique stamp of approval from the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Culture.
Elsewhere, if it’s the history of the power station itself you want to get more of, the self-guided Control Room B audio tour lets you get up close to the original 1950s control desks, switchgear, and synchroscopes – and it comes with a welcome drink.
So, whether you’re keen to live within Battersea Power Station, or simply want to get more out of the iconic venue than a meal and mooch around the shops, you’ve got options.
