A new exhibition is sailing into London very soon. The Legend of The Titanic – The Immersive Exhibition will dock at, fittingly, Dock X in Surrey Quays on July 25, with a striking combination of 360-degree projections, fascinating artefacts, virtual reality magic and lifelike recreations telling the tale of the doomed voyage.
Bringing to life a fictionalised element of the original catastrophe, not to mention the famous namesake film, you are invited to step into the virtual shoes of a fictional passenger in 1912 and journey through 13 rooms which explore different elements of the storied ship and its cinematic legacy. This is the chance to experience the human side of the internationally infamous disaster.

What can you expect at The Legend of the Titanic – The Immersive Exhibition?
Get on board for a moving immersion in the world of the Titanic. This interactive exhibition uses VR headset imagery, artefacts, giant breathtaking projections, and walk-through exhibits of recreated period costumes and items to transport you back in time. You’ll be able to take in the grand staircase of the ship, delve into the bowels of the ship’s engine room, sip tea in Café Parisien and learn about the heartbreaking and heroic passenger stories, shining a light on some otherwise overlooked people who were there.
The Legend of the Titanic balances both honing-in on the human side of the disaster’s scale, and providing visually stunning sets and experiences designed to sweep you away. You’ll not only hear from the musicians who played up until the ship’s final, bitter end, but you’ll feel like you are following in the footsteps of passengers as reality-warping technology, interactive rooms and sound recreations bring this storied piece of the past to life. You can even venture where humans cannot reach, with the cutting-edge metaverse allowing you to plunge to the depths of the ocean to discover the rusted vestiges of the wreckage.
Whether you’re a history buff, hooked on pop culture, or want to be a part of a bygone event which changed the course of history, The Legend of The Titanic is a fascinating two-hour dive into the tragic story. Suitable for all ages, the young voyagers can add a splash of colour to themed artworks and put their knowledge to the test in an interactive puzzle quiz.
