I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but Christmas is a rather expensive time of year – especially in London. You can barely step out of your front door without spending £20, and so the concept of a free immersive experience taking place slap bang in the middle of London is pretty hard to believe, isn’t it? But – just as Mariah Carey once said – there can be miracles when you believe. And this little miracle has arrived in the capital city, courtesy of public art platform, W1 Curates.
That’s right, folks: a captivating Christmas experience has just landed on Oxford Street – and it’s completely free to visit. Laplandia is a magical adventure for visitors of all ages to embark on. Flawlessly combining innovative modern technology with timeless festive magic, Laplandia is designed to delight and excite each and every visitor.

This one-of-a-kind, 360-degree, interactive show features some pretty impressive technology. Using the likes of 3D mapping, holograms and projections; the experience transports visitors straight to the North Pole, where they can walk the snowy path to Santa’s home, watch the elves hard at work, and have a snoop around Santa’s workshop, library, and even his bathroom, too.
The experience has been created in partnership with Magic Innovations, an award-winning mulitmedia studio. So, what are you waiting for? Head on over to Oxford Street (if you’re feeling brave enough), and let Laplandia ignite your imagination and make your Christmas dreams come true.
Laplandia will be taking place daily (from 10am-9am and 12pm-6pm on Sundays) inside the Flannels store at 161-167 Oxford Street, W1D 2JP throughout December. You can book in advance or walk-in on the day. Find out more and plan your visit here.
