A brand new open-air rooftop bar is opening eight floors above Holborn station, making it the perfect destination for after-work drinks. Soft launching this month before an official opening on June 19th, La-Yam promises expertly-crafted cocktails, panoramic city views and laid back vibes.
By the sounds of it, La-Yam’s cocktail menu is what you’ll keep coming back for – featuring fan favourites such as the Margarita Picante and the Hugo Spritz. There’ll also be a modern, Greek-style menu served throughout the day crafted by Eran Shachaf of well-loved London cafe’s Cafebotanical and Americano Classico, plus an Asado-style Sunday roast serving up things like harissa chicken thighs, slow-roast short ribs and sea bream skewers (and plenty for the veggies, too).
This new spot will be open morning till night Monday to Friday, with everything from rooftop yoga classes to Friday DJ sets from up-and-coming locals. You’ll find La-Yam atop Kingsbourne House, quite literally above the hustle and bustle of the tube station. Again, they don’t officially open until later this month, but for those of you in the know: if you visit during the soft launch and sign up to the newsletter, you’ll get your second drink for free.
