Krispy Kreme is opening the doors to a secret speakeasy and dessert bar for two days only.
From May 24 to 25, Krispy Kreme will be celebrating all things Americana at their secret Motown pop-up on Great Portland Street. “But why?” I hear you ask. Well, it’s all in honour of their new American Pie range, which launched earlier this week.
Step into the inconspicuous record store Doughtown Records and search for the hidden doorway. Like many of London’s best speakeasies, you’ll only be granted entry with a secret password. (In this case it’s ‘Sweet as Pie-Ettes’, so you might want to write that down somewhere.)
Inside, guests will be treated to live music from Krispy Kreme’s very own soulful singers, plus the headline act you doughnut want to miss, “The Pie-Ettes”.
Speaking of treats, there’ll be a huge dessert menu featuring new doughnut flavours: Banana Kreme Pie, Cherry Pie, Reese’s Peanut Butter Pie, and Maple Pecan Pie. And if you think you can handle more sugar, they’ll also have the brand new Krispy Kreme Ice Kreme available to try, as well as Banana or Cherry Kreme shakes!
There’ll be hourly sessions from 11am–7pm on both Friday 24 and Saturday 25 May. Tickets cost £5 and all proceeds will go to Krispy Kreme’s charity partner, Teenage Cancer Trust. You can purchase them here.
