One of London’s most iconic markets is about to get even better.
This August, Spitalfields Market will play host to the launch of a brand new sports bar and terrace that promises to blend the best of British pub culture with the vibrant energy of an American sports bar.
KERB Social Club is the latest venture from the team behind KERB, the street food collective famed for transforming London’s food scene and also responsible for Seven Dials Market in Covent Garden.
The new bar aims to create a space where “American sports bar energy” meets “proper pub comfort,” offering the best of both worlds for locals and visitors alike.
And the best part no doubt would be the outdoor terrace, which will overlook the bustling heart of Spitalfields Market making it the perfect spot for people-watching and al fresco drinks.
Inside, guests can expect a spacious main room and five private rooms available for booking. Whether you’re in the mood for karaoke, a pool night, darts, gaming, or even a chess tournament, there’s a space for every kind of gathering.
No KERB venue would be complete without top-tier street food. The Social Club will host three food traders: Only Jerkin’ serving up fried chicken, Oh My Dog bringing hot dogs with a twist, and Cutie Pies dishing out Detroit-style pizza.
Abi Watson, General Manager of KERB Social Club said: “KERB Social Club is what happens when you take the spirit of a proper British local, mix it with the casual chaos and fun of an American sports bar, and give it an inclusive, modern KERB twist. This isn’t about gimmicks – it’s a reminder that community hangouts really matter. And for us, opening our first Social Club in a legendary market like Spitalfields makes it even more special. It reflects our heritage, but pushes things forward.”
