Are you at a bit of a loose end with your weeknight meals? Or maybe you’re a food aficionado who cooks up a storm seven days a week. Wherever you stand on the chef spectrum, IKEA Greenwich’s Cookshop launch event on August 14 is guaranteed to leave you feeling inspired.
Visiting IKEA’S cookware section is simply a rite of passage when it comes to decking out your kitchen. And IKEA Greenwich has recently become fully fledged with its very own brand new Cookshop.
Here you can find every culinary utensil you could possibly need, and then some. From gorgeous table linen and elegant serving dishes, to nifty little storage jars and gadgets you didn’t even know existed, IKEA Greenwich’s Cookshop is a certified kitchenware paradise.
Watch a selection of IKEA’s best products put to use in a live demonstration by Feed Me Good founder Nureen Glaves. Here you can learn how to create time-efficient meals with zero compromise on nutrients and flavour. Nureen will also give some great tips on running a more sustainable kitchen.
All that food talk made you peckish? Treat your taste buds to a free four-course meal in the Cookshop’s food sampling. Start off with some delicious canapes followed by a hearty salad. Then say cheers with a post-meal cocktail and some nibbles and round things off with scrumptious dessert.
After your meal you can join a panel talk with IKEA’S Live Lagom community, at 5pm. All about preserving the planet by being mindful about using the right amount of what you need, the Live Lagom community will discuss interesting ideas about promoting sustainability within the community. You can sign up to reserve your space at the event here.
And if you show a member of our team that you’ve read this Secret London article, you can even claim a free ice cream or vegan ice cream!
Enter IKEA Greenwich’s Cookshop and discover a treasure trove of tools that could revolutionise how you operate in the kitchen. With the IKEA 365+ pressure cooker, you can create rich flavoursome food whilst reducing your cooking time by up to 50 percent.
And why not jazz up your pantry with some pretty KORKEN jars? These airtight containers are perfect for keeping your cookies nice and crunchy, or fill them with something bright to add a splash of colour to your kitchen.
If you’re feeling extra creative you can use the jars to preserve your own pickles – that’s a minimal effort way to be the ultimate domestic goddess.
You could also win a fantastic bundle of prizes to take your kitchenware game to the next level. Enter the competition for your chance to win a great goodie bag including an IKEA 365+ 3 piece knife set, an APTITLIG butchers block and DYRGRIP wine glasses.
IKEA Greenwich Cookshop’s launch event will start at 12pm and entry is free of charge.
