Iggy Pop will take to the stage at Alexandra Palace on May 28 for a career-spanning show that will encompass his incredible five decades in the music biz. The legendary singer has worked on, collaborated on, and released countless albums – most recently his nineteenth solo studio album, Every Loser.
Pop’s music, with The Stooges and beyond, has influenced everyone from Sex Pistols to the Smiths, Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, and more. He was also a frequent collaborator with none other than David Bowie, whose cover of Pop’s ‘China Girl’ was one of Pop’s first mainstream successes. Over the years he has experimented with a wide variety of musical genres, even jazz, blues, and electronic.
As well as his music, Iggy Pop has had a lucrative acting career across film and television.
Iggy Pop has been credited as being the person who invented the stage dive. Indeed, his live shows are infamous for his unpredictable and wild on-stage behaviour.
On January 24, 2025, Iggy Pop will release a live recording of his performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 20223.
Following his performance at Ally Pally, Iggy Pop will then head to Glasgow for another blow-out show at the O2 Academy Glasgow, on June 3.
