Green fingers at the ready! đż
Do you have a passion for plants? Are you potty for pots? If so, we’ve got the perfect plan to green up your weekend, because we’ve found not one but TWO amazing houseplant markets happening in the city this weekend!
Firstly, head to the famous Mercato Metropolitano on Saturday, where Green Rooms Market is bringing along an urban jungle of plants for a special day of botanical shopping and workshops.
Make your way around the iconic market, taking your time to explora the flora đ. Try out a macrame plant hanger workshop and make your plant a pretty home to live in. You can also learn how to take care of your new flowery friends sustainably, which is great for those new to the propagation scene. Later, grab a bite to eat or drink at one of the market’s many restaurants – which we’ve handily rounded up for you here.
Next, travel east, where you’ll find ‘Grown and Thrown’ at Hackney Flea Market – a mix & match sale of all your favourite kids of plants.
Select your own succulent, cacti, or plant, and pick out the perfect ceramic pot for it to be planted in – many of which have been exclusively commissioned by the DIY Art Shop! Who said gardening wasn’t boujee, eh?
They’re good for you, they’re good for the planet, and they look seriously good in your bedroom. So head down to one or both of these plant-tastic events, and get your green game on!
