If you’re one of London’s many keen skaters, we have found the perfect bar for you. Hop Kingdom is an incredible spot that’s located underneath the train tracks feeding London Bridge Station, housing a brilliant bar and an indoor skatepark that’s awesome for nose-grinding your way through a couple of beers with some action-fuelled adrenaline.
Decked out with stairs, ledges, banked inclines, and more, this fantastic skatepark may be small in size (it’s self-proclaimed as the smallest in the city!), but it encompasses everything you need to show off your skills, while knocking back some well-earned bevvies with friends.
However, you don’t have to know how to skate to enjoy Hop Kingdom, with the charming space offering skating lessons, as well as a weekly Beginner’s Night, so you don’t have to worry about making any mistakes in front of the pro skaters (although there’s no shame, regardless). Kids are also welcome before nightfall, making it an all-inclusive space for anyone interested in learning to skate or yearning to practice in an inviting atmosphere.
As for the bar, they have their very own collection of craft beers to try, including the odd collaboration with London’s finest breweries. From their mood-boosting CBD Pale Ale to other inventive creations, you can’t leave Hop Kingdom without trying a beer (or two).
So, if you’re on the hunt for somewhere new to skate your evenings away, or want to learn the ins and outs of skateboarding, keep Hop Kingdom in mind for your next visit to London Bridge.
The Adult Beginners Night at Hop Kingdom takes place every Monday from 4 pm until 10 pm. It only costs £5 and comes with a drink, with an instructor on hand from 7-9 pm to help you find your pace and progress. You can also have exclusive access to the skatepark thanks to their private lessons with an expert instructor, teaching you the basics with some helpful tips and tricks.
