We jab, then we dance.
If you attended the iconic London nightclub Heaven when it first opened its doors in 1979, you could have a second chance to become part of their rich history. And, if you didn’t make that first time, one out of two ain’t bad, eh?
In the spot that’s usually reserved for cutting shapes, attendees will instead receive a small cut on the arm as they receive the vaccine at Heaven’s pop-up vaccine clinic this Sunday (August 8). They’ll have 1,200 doses of the Pfizer vaccine to dish out, so head down between noon and 9pm.
Heaven, home of the beloved G-A-Y club night, joins the longlist of cultural London spots that have turned their walls into pop-up clinics, including the Tate Modern and the Emirates Stadium. It’s now the first London nightclub to open as a centre, after clubs triumphantly reopened their doors on July 19 after 17 months of closure due to the pandemic.
So, if you’re over 18, head down in your best clubbing outfits and have a little boogie on the spot after you receive your hallowed vaccination card.
