You may have noticed that a severe case of Harry-hysteria has been sweeping the globe over the past week or so. First came a mysterious series of ‘WE BELONG TOGETHER‘ posters, scattered across various major cities worldwide. Then came the highly-anticipated announcement that Style’s shiny new album, ‘Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally’, would be officially gracing our earholes on March 6. Next, the beloved pop icon revealed that his new single, ‘Aperture’, would be released on January 23. And then, just when we thought it couldn’t get any more exciting, another dollop of delirium was delivered to us in the form of an Instagram post, explaining that some rather fortunate fans would have the opportunity to hear the new single two days prior to its official release. Yes, that means today.
Harry Styles HQ (his official fan community page) took to Instagram yesterday to announce that eleven cities would be treated to an exclusive listening party. The cities in question were Amsterdam, Austin, Berlin, Mexico City, New York, Paris, Sao Paulo, Sydney, Tokyo, Toronto, and – you guessed it, folks – London. And the listening parties are taking place in selected record stores in those specific cities today (January 21).
These listening parties will give Styles-superfans the chance to listen to ‘Aperture’ ahead of its release at 00.00am on Friday, January 23. But the details of the events have been rather elusive. The HSHQ Instagram account has been drip feeding the information throughout the day today, with the listening parties in the likes of Tokyo, Sydney, Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, New York, and Austin all having been announced before London. But our time has come, folks.
The time and location of the London listening party have just been revealed. It will be taking place at Phonica Records in Soho from 6pm until 9pm today (January 21). You know what Harry Styles? We’d walk through fire central London for you…
📍You’ll find Phonica Records at 51 Poland Street, W1F 7ND.
🚇 Nearest station is Oxford Circus.
