Brand new, and stuffed to the rafters with swag, Gringotts Bank is open now.
The wizarding world sure does know how to keep a secret, don’t they? I mean, if a hidden chamber with a bloody great snake in it can get forgotten about for fifty years, keeping their newest development under wraps for a mere eleven months was clearly a cinch. But after a long, teasing campaign inviting you to #UnlockTheMagic, the Harry Potter Studio Tour unveiled their newest development earlier this year: a full scale replica of Gringotts Bank. Finally, the attraction is open to the public, and it looks pretty swish.
Gringotts had been in the pipeline for a while, with the studio’s Twitter account dropping some tasty little riddles to pique curiosity in the run up to the reveal. Make no mistake, some devoted Potterheads waited a very long time for this…

Today’s opening marks the tour’s biggest expansion ever, and a perfect excuse to dive headfirst back into the magical world – now featuring 100% more goblins, and mountains of gold, sweet sweet gold!
You’ll be able to wander through the Lestrange vault, see the Sword of Gryffindor and Helga Hufflepuff’s cup, and meander through piles of gold, with over 200,000 coins created for the experience.
Bookings have been flying off the shelf quicker than Gilderoy Lockhart’s latest book, so reserving a spot in advance of your visit is a must. No word yet on whether you’ll find the Philosopher’s Stone hidden anywhere in the vaults, but if it is, you can bet us cash-strapped millennials will sniff it out…
Don’t forget to check out the rest of Harry Potter’s London!
