This July, Habitat is celebrating its 60th anniversary with an immersive installation in partnership with the Design Museum. Running from July 10 – August 11, ‘Changing Spaces: 60 Years of Design with Habitat’ will showcase five interactive displays, exploring the ways in which design reflects the world around us and influences our daily lives. The installation is free to visit during museum opening hours.

In a day and age where we’re spending more time than ever in our homes (18 hours per day on average!), it’s important that our living spaces are designed to improve the quality of our lives. The new Habitat ‘60 Years of Design Collection’ is inspired by the brand’s heritage, and its mission to encourage people to create living environments that are reflective of their true selves.
Throughout the installation, you’ll rediscover iconic chapters and products from the past six decades reimagined alongside new design, with a few star pieces from Habitat’s exciting new ‘60 Years of Design Collection’ taking centre stage. You can expect to see everything from furniture and tableware to textiles and lighting, made in collaboration with a line up of top design minds. There will also be a number of guest pieces featured in the installation, from ten of the most exciting designers in Britain today.
Changing Spaces: 60 Years of Design with Habitat will be divided into five immersive zones, each based on a different theme. CREATE celebrates the joy of individualism and self-expression, CONNECT explores how societal and cultural change has impacted home design, TRANSFORM showcases how lighting choices and design help us illuminate our homes, REST is an ode to slow living, and PLAY shows how we can manifest joy through playful design.
