Guinness has inarguably taken over London in recent years. From scores of people perfecting their skills at ‘splitting the G’ to countless pubs that pour impeccable pints of the sweet nectar, we Londoners can’t seem to get enough of the stuff. In honour of our love for the black stuff, and St Patrick’s Day next week, a limited-time dedicated Guinness bar is coming to London.
The Ned has partnered up with Guinness for a three-month bar pop-up serving all manner of Guinness-y delights. Opening on March 17 (St Paddy’s Day, obviously), they’ll have Guinness-infused bar snacks and decadent cocktails, all “designed to complement the rich, smooth flavours of the stout”. Oh, and plentiful pints of the beloved drink itself, naturally!

Thirsty stout fans will find The Guinness Bar tucked away on the lower ground floor within the Long Bar at The Ned. They’ve given the space a makeover, with “vintage Toucan posters and nods to vintage Guinness paraphernalia”. And they’re promising some of the shortest lines in London for what they believe will be the best pint in The City. A bold claim – and one we’ll definitely have to test for ourselves!
Guinness food and drink
If you’re feeling peckish, you can tuck into Mini beef and onion pie with Guinness gravy and Guinness Cheddar Croquettes. They’ll even be serving up Caviar and Guinness Crisps; now that’s a Guinness experience we’re yet to try!
The cocktails bring together the worlds of Guinness and mixology with delightful results. There’s the Guinness take on the Espresso Martini, the Barkley Café with Ron Zacapa, Guinness, espresso and cacao. There’s also the mind-bending St James Sour, with Johnnie Walker Black Label, Guinness, citrus, egg white, and Pinot Noir.
Said Jack Cohn, Food & Beverage Director at The Ned:
“We’re delighted to bring The Guinness Bar to The Ned, offering our guests an exciting and immersive way to enjoy Guinness in The City. From perfectly poured pints to an innovative menu of food and cocktails, we’ve created an experience that is both authentic and elevated—ideal for celebrating St Patrick’s Day and beyond.”
The Guinness Bar will be open at The Ned for three months, from March 17, 2025. It is open Tuesday – Saturday, from 5:30pm until late.
