Greggs is taking us back in time to the start of the millennium with a massive throwback Christmas party in London. For anyone who can’t get enough of the brand’s sausage rolls and bean & cheese melts (aka everyone), the British bakery chain is throwing a series of Christmas parties across the UK. They’ll be rolling out a roster of special guests, festive cocktails, and more cheesy 00s hits than you can shake a festive bake at.
Greggs Presents: The Festive Rewind is a three-part throwback party. Each event, which takes place in a different city, is inspired by a different iconic decade of music. In London, it’s all about the 00s at the ‘Bake to the 00s’ event that will see none other than Steps’ H and Claire taking to the DJ decks. They’ll descend upon Shoreditch’s Protein Studios on December 15 – and we’re expecting plenty of double denim and shout-along anthems.
Greggs Christmas Parties
The London celebration completes a trifecta of Greggs throwback parties, with 80s- and 90s-themed celebrations also taking place in Glasgow and Birmingham respectively. These events will feature their own special guests, with 80s legend Martin Kemp popping up in Glasgow, and 90s powerhouse HedKandi in Birmingham.
Hunsnet’s Gareth Howells will also be taking to the decks with a mix of ultimate Christmas hits and nostalgic anthems at all three events. When you’re not too busy chowing down on pizza slices from the Greggs’ Pizza Van, or sipping on delightfully Christmassy cocktails, you can bust a move at the ‘Festive Bake Bar’.
The throwback Greggs Christmas parties will each last two-and-a-half hours, kicking off at 4.30pm. Tickets cost £10 – but that’s just a deposit, and you’ll get the money back upon arrival!
If last year’s Greggs Christmas Brunch is anything to go by, tickets are sure to sell out quickly! So keep an eye on Gregg’s social channels from 10am on Friday, November 17 to snap up your tickets.
The Bake To The 00s party will take place on December 15, from 4:30 – 7pm, at Protein Studios, 31 New Inn Yard, London, EC2A 3EY. The nearest stations are Shoreditch High Street and Old Street.
