Shiver me timbers, there be treasure in these waters!
Today’s pirates are more likely to be streaming films than plundering ships, but GoBoat are offering you the chance to return to the glory days of buccaneering this Halloween. The fabulous floating boats are celebrating All Hallows Eve with a treasure hunt on Regent’s Canal – and yes, fancy dress is Strongly Encouraged!
The treasure hunt, which for copyright reasons they probably can’t call Pirates of Regent’s Canal, begins at Merchant Square in Paddington, where you’ll be welcomed by a member of the GoBoat team in full pirate regalia. You’ll be given a series of clues to help you find the pieces of eight – of which photo evidence will be required – and the more treasure you find, the more prizes you’ll win.
Further prizes will be doled out for the best Halloween costume, and since the tranquil waters of Regent’s Canal are easily navigable, there’s little need to worry about making it waterproof. You’ll be able to join the treasure hunt from October 25th until the 31st, and a two-hour voyage will set you back £89. With all that treasure available, it’s well worth joining the hunt – and remember: true pirates share their booty!
