Sail The Waters Of London On These Fabulous Picnic Boats

Alex Landon Alex Landon - Editor

A GoBoat cruises around the waters of Canary Wharf with skyscrapers in the background.

Pick a sunny day and go cruising round town on your very own GoBoat!

If life is driving you round the bend, why not drive friends and family round the bend – on your very own electric picnic boat? GoBoat boasts a fabulous fleet of picnic boats that rule the serene waters of London, and their Regent’s Canal and Kingston sites are already open for your next voyage (a new site at Canary Wharf will open from May 17). Offering up to six people a tranquil escape on the high seas, they’re jolly good fun! And there’s no need to simply take our word for it, because we’ve got your tickets lined up here with an exclusive 15% discount!

A group of friends wave from a GoBoat on a voyage around Canary Wharf.

These charming little craft really are one of the best days out in London, particularly when you can motor through tranquil Little Venice, leafy Kingston, or the imposing towers of Canary Wharf. You don’t need any boating qualifications to drive them; all the training you need is given in a little driving tutorial at the start of your voyage, which can be anywhere between a one hour jaunt, or a truly leisurely four hours (available at Kingston only).

Your noble vessel will cruise along at the gentle pace of around 4mph, which is just enough to see and be seen by those jealous eyes on terra firma. With a picnic table installed in the centre, you’re allowed – nay, encouraged – to bring along a little picnic and drinks for the ride, and good doggos are also very welcome.

GoBoat

Regardless of which site you choose, you’ll have a wealth of sightseeing opportunities available to you, along with plenty of covetous glances from passers-by. The Regent’s Canal and Kingston sites are open now for voyages of six people, whilst the new Canary Wharf site will be open from May 17, at which stage all sites will be able to welcome parties of up to eight guests.

GoBoat

GoBoat is following all safety precautions, with boats sanitised between trips, socially distanced queues at all sites, and contact-free check in. With the summer weather rapidly approaching, they’re expected to be extremely busy, so it’s very wise to book your spot in advance using Fever’s exclusive 15% discount. No wonder; as lazy weekends go, you can’t beat a relaxing float down the river – just remember to bring your sea legs!
