A theatre adaptation of Paula Hawkins’ novel, The Girl On The Train, is hitting London’s West End.
Based on the best-selling novel by Paula Hawkins, The Girl On The Train is heading to the Duke of York’s Theatre for four weeks only.
Adapted for the stage by Rachel Wagstaff and Duncan Abel, the play follows the story of Rachel Watson; a commuter who somehow gets mixed up in a crime just by looking through a train window.
This thrilling mystery stars Samantha Womack, the actress best known for her role as Ronnie Mitchell in Eastenders, and Oliver Farnworth, who is best known for his role in Coronation Street. It’s a bit of a Soap Opera fest, but it’s a bloody good one, according to the critics.
WhatsOnStage say: “This is a must. Don’t miss it.” Time and Leisure Magazine say: “The play, like the book, keeps you gripped until the end.” Even Paula Hawkins herself says of the show: “You could hear a pin drop. Everyone was holding their breath.”
The Girl on the Train is showing at the Duke of York’s Theatre from July 23 until August 17, 2019.
