At Giraffe Hall in Kent, you’ll be able to get up close and personal with giraffes during your stay.
We all remember the childhood classic ‘The Tiger Who Came To Tea’, but did anyone hear about the giraffes who came to lunch? At Giraffe Hall, part of Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve in Kent, you will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to come face-to-face with giraffes.
The unique hotel is designed to facilitate interactions between guests and the beautiful animals. The giraffes will be able to poke their heads through the large windows in the dining rooms and bedrooms and keep you company during your visit!
Their website explains that you can “Get closer than ever before and make friends with your giraffe neighbours, as the resident herd peer into the lofty ceilinged drawing room, or amble up to the bedroom windows, where you may be lucky enough to feed them.”

The luxury accommodation will consist of ten en-suite bedrooms and can house up to 40 guests in total. The quaint building dates back to the 15th and 16th century and incorporates all the comforts of an English stately home. It is also positioned in a prime location to view the nature reserve in all its glory. You will be able view the picturesque landscaped gardens and watch as giraffes, lions, wolves, and more roam free.
The reserve, run by Aspinall Foundation, is home to over 200 animals and includes a range of overnight experiences. The Lion Lodge is a very popular choice, where you can spend your stay just inches away from the kings of the jungle.
Giraffe Hall is set to open its doors next summer and will be the first of its kind in the Western hemisphere. But we must warn you, there is already a waiting list of over 9,000 people excited to book their stay. So be sure to sign up if you want to see these gentle giants sooner than later!
