As Londoners, we are lucky enough to have access to an incredible live music scene (amongst many other things!). From stadiums and arenas to independent bars and venues off the beaten track, the choices are endless…
As part of their mission to connect people with their passions across the UK, Mobility Super App FREE NOW has partnered with Music Venue Trust – an amazing charitable organisation that works to protect the UK’s beloved grassroots music venues.
That means protecting special spaces for existing and emerging artists to perform and share their work. Not to mention playing an integral role in preserving the unique and quirky character of our UK cities. In solidarity for this important cause, FREE NOW is sponsoring the costs of 120 shows, put on by future Mercury Prize hopefuls. These gigs will take place in 60 grassroots music venues in London, Manchester and Edinburgh. Upcoming gigs for October include:
- Purdy – 606 Club, London 9/10/22
- Kyris + Left Hand Lane, No Fishing, Basic State – Night & Day, Manchester 11/10/22
- An Evening With Jessica Rabbit – The Fitzgerald, Manchester 26/10/22
And keep your eyes peeled for the two remaining FREE NOW ‘hero’ shows, in which big artists will return to small grassroots venues.
And whichever shows take your fancy, all gig-goers can enjoy stress-free travel there and back with FREE NOW. You can also stay in the loop on all the latest gigs by following FREE NOW UK on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.
