It’s March Mayhem down at Lee Valley White Water Centre, which means it’s the perfect time to give rafting a go.
Ever fancied yourself a bit of an action man? Thought you might be able to give Wonder Woman a run for her money? Well, white water rafting is the perfect way to live out those action-packed childhood dreams without putting yourself in too much actual danger.
Lee Valley White Water Centre opened back in April 2011 in preparation for the unforgettable London 2012 Olympic Games (as if that was almost six years ago now!) and it’s been open to all ever since then. There’s, quite literally, gallons of fun to be had here, with loads of aquatic activities on offer, and a surprisingly lively social scene. Just take a look at their video to find out more:
And the best part is that during March they’re offering you the chance to try out their White Water Rafting experience from just £38. While this would usually set you back £50, their March Mayhem price means a really decent £12 saving, so there’s never been a better time to ‘splash out’.
Before you hit the rapids you’ll be kitted out with wetsuits, boots, helmets and bouyancy aids, then trained up by an expert instructor and put through your paces on the course. You can even charter an entire raft (which holds a maximum of 12 people) for a big day out with your mates.
And once your high-octane adventure is over? Celebrate your aquatic success with a pizza and a pint (or just steady your nerves post-raft!) at The Terrace Bar & Café on site.
Tickets are available to book now on the Lee Valley White Water Centre’s website. You’ll find Lee Valley White Water Centre at Station Road, Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, EN9 1AB, just 40 minutes from London by train. Oh, and March Mayhem is only available during March 2018 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays – so make sure to plan ahead.
