Well, if you’re a pub quiz fanatic and reckon you’d smash a gameshow, you won’t want to miss a hot new attraction that’s coming to London this year. Gameshow LIVE! is billing itself as “the world’s first live, interactive game show experience” – putting you and your friends in the middle of your own television competition.
Set to open this Spring, Gameshow LIVE! will be the city’s latest answer to competitive socialising. Forget the ping pong, pool, or darts. Grab some friends and jump into your very own game show!
Playing Gameshow LIVE!
The experience is based around 90-minute sessions, guided by a professional host. The host is backed up by a glossy production and some ultra-dramatic lighting. Oh, and an enormous game show wheel on stage. Groups sit at tables with an enormous red buzzer in the centre and “compete in fast-paced challenges including trivia, music, picture rounds, speed tests, and on-stage bonus moments”.
But Gameshow LIVE! does things just a little bit differently. Where other ‘quiz show’ and ‘game show’ experiences are catered to smaller groups. In these attractions, it’s just about you and your friends competing. But Gameshow LIVE! pits up to 200 players against each other at a time.
While you play compete, you can order signature cocktails and sharing food dishes directly to your booth. That way you won’t miss a second of the action. And you’ll want to pay attention, since prizes up for grabs will “range from fondue sets and giant teddy bears to smart TVs, air fryers, and robot vacuums, with a headline star prize to be revealed when the experience launches!”
The team behind the new experience has a pretty hefty pedigree when it comes to experiences in London and around the world. They’re responsible for everything from Swingers crazy golf to Outernet London, and have worked with the likes of Lady Gaga, Etta James, Lou Reed, and more. Suffice it to say, they’ve got plenty of experience and know-how behind them!
